Wellbeing at Yodel
The wellbeing of our colleagues is one of our top priorities - it’s so important to us that everyone here feels supported. When you join Yodel, you can expect to come to work and experience a safe, understanding, and positive environment, whatever your role.
Our five values keep us committed to maintaining a mentally healthy workplace:
1. Ensure everyone knows how to access Wellbeing support
2. Provide managers with the skills to support their people
3. Enhance awareness and promote self-care
4. Support our strong network of Mental Health First Aid volunteers
5. Reduce the stigma around Mental Health
Mental Health First Aid
Life can be challenging, so it helps to have someone to turn to. We’re proud of our Mental Health First Aiders. They’re colleagues just like you who are trained to offer support when you need it. You can:
• Request contact face-to-face, via email, or even a telephone call at a time that works for you
• Speak to someone different to get a fresh perspective on things that you’re going through
• Let us know if you’re not comfortable discussing the issues impacting you with someone at your site. We’ll arrange for another trained colleague who works at a different location to get in touch
We currently have around 100 Mental Health First Aiders across the Yodel network - all of our colleagues have the opportunity to complete the course, so we hope to keep the number growing year on year.
The Yodel Colleague Foundation
Many of us go through times that are difficult – whether due to illness, money problems and hardship, or an unexpected turn in life. A financial helping hand can make all the difference and help to turn things around. That’s where the Yodel Colleague Foundation hardship fund comes in - a fund that means we’re able to help our colleagues weather the storm with grants.
