Our Engineers make sure ours is a well-oiled machine that’s equipped to deliver the millions of parcels we handle a year. It’s an exciting, rewarding role with real value.
Engineering Opportunities
Our Engineering team diligently and reliably keep every cog turning, every conveyor running and every motor whirring. With thousands of parcels journeying through our Sort hubs at any one time, it is no mean feat. Thanks to them, we can keep our parcels moving, and keep our customers’ promises too.
Maintaining, supporting and providing responsive engineering services for our mechanical handling equipment, the fast pace of our distribution environment makes it perfect for Engineers who want to enjoy variety, professional challenges and real respect. You’ll be rewarded for your vital role too – with generous benefits, and the satisfaction of knowing what you do makes a big difference.
The Role
Using specialist equipment knowledge, you’ll maintain and repair machinery, as well as provide technical support. You’ll also diagnose mechanical and electrical faults as part of a strong Engineering team that doesn’t settle for anything less than the best.
Skills & Experience
Experience of an electro-mechanical environment, conveyor systems and Vanderlande systems is vital. Qualified to NVQ Level 3 Mechanical/Electrical, you’ll also need a recognised apprenticeship, BTEC HND or equivalent in an electrical discipline.
Flexibility
As we’re a 24/7 operation, we need Engineers who can work various shift patterns that could include nights and weekends. You’ll also need to be comfortable working at heights of up to 25 metres and excited by the challenge of tight repair windows.
Rewards & Benefits
As an Engineer, you’ll enjoy great benefits that include an excellent pension scheme, generous Very.co.uk discount and Childcare Vouchers.
