Our Operators help to make sure we deliver every promise by checking driving schedules, when trailers arrive and even how long they’re on the road.
Operator Opportunities
Join our friendly Transport team, and you’ll get to grips with all sorts of transport systems. From your nerve centre, you will be able to see where all our Drivers are across the UK, how long they’ve been on the road and make sure they’ve been taking regular breaks. Our specialist technology also allows you to make sure that we’re compliant with driving legislation and getting our trailers out on time, too.
It is complex work, but you can be confident that we train our Operators up on our systems and the legal side of things, so they’re ready to join us in delivering promises that much sooner. For an administrator who’s passionate about developing in logistics and distribution, it’s the perfect operational challenge.
The Role
This varied role will include checking when trailers arrive and leave to ensure we’re on time, monitoring schedules to make sure we hit each target, allocating trailers, answering queries from drivers and handling various admin tasks.
Passion & Personality
As this role gives plenty of opportunity to work with Drivers and other colleagues across Yodel, you’ll need lots of confidence and superb communication skills. An eye for detail is also high on our list.
Skills & Experience
To join us, you’ll have worked in a fast-paced environment in an admin role using IT systems. It doesn’t have to be in distribution. As there’s a degree of flexibility here, organisation skills and the ability to manage your own workload are also key.
