The International Account Director will be responsible for retaining and developing profitable new and existing business relationships within a defined portfolio of clients. Providing a high level of client service and acting as a dedicated point of contact. Leveraging the relationships to grow sales revenue, volumes and profits in line with Company sales plan and strategic objectives.

What you'll be doing

As an International Account Director, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Director of Partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders by providing help and support to clients & colleagues.

Your responsibilities will include developing account plans, managing day-to-day relationships with clients, and overseeing the smooth handover of new clients. You will work closely with the Operational teams to ensure service delivery and operational efficiencies in line with client SLAs.
In addition to the above you will also be responsible for the following:

• Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve company objectives, maximising revenue across 5 key international accounts
• Work collaboratively with the appropriate Operations teams to ensure sustainable service delivery and operational efficiencies in line with Client SLAs
• Plan and manage sales activity in a productive and efficient manner in line with performance metrics as directed and maintain a structured call cycle that meets Clients' requirements
• Manage sales processes to ensure 100% compliance of all activities with the core CRM system, Salesforce.com, and ensuring timely performance reporting and sales forecasting
• Develop and promote personal profile within the industry to become recognised as a product champion and promote the interests of interests of the Company with key influencer groups
• Collaborate with cross functional teams including Operations, Commercial, IT and Customer Service to ensure seamless delivery
• Provide regular reports on account performance, sales forecasts, and market insights to management
• Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends and competition
• Ability to sell against all competitors through robust and contemporary knowledge of market dynamics
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery and problem solving

What you need to show us

• Fluent in Mandarin
• An appetite to travel to China at least twice per year, depending on business requirements, this may be accompanied or lone travel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at various levels including internal and external stakeholders.
• A willingness to learn, grow and develop within the role
• Flexibility to work longer hours on occasion depending on workload due to nature of the role and base of clients in China
• An understanding of current account management programmes and principles
• An understanding of the B2B and B2C express UK parcel market
• Holds a thorough understanding of the need to sell a balanced portfolio mix of B2B, B2C and International services, achieving targets by product stream were set by Yodel
• An understanding of the multi-channel retailer model especially e-commerce
• Can articulate a robust case for commercial flexibility
• Can influence both internal and external customers
• Highly effective negotiator
• Provide weekly accurate and contemporary forecasting data to the business
• Requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and negotiation skills
