On average we deliver a staggering 2.9 million parcels every week, but at our busiest time (the run up to Christmas) that goes up to 4.5 million parcels!
To ensure all of these extra parcels arrive on time and in great condition, while providing the same fantastic customer experience, we need a team of seasonal couriers, drivers and owner drivers to swing into action.
We also need seasonal warehouse operatives to collect, scan, sort and load parcels at our service centres around the country. Not to mention seasonal HGV drivers to drive (not load or unload) parcels to our service centres from our three main hubs in Shaw in the North West, Wednesbury in the Midlands and Hatfield in the South.
We start to recruit people in September, with jobs running from the end of October to mid-January guaranteed.
Then, if you enjoy what you do and are really good at it too, there may be an opportunity to make the move from a seasonal to a permanent contract, or even transfer to become a self-employed courier or owner driver.
Who we look for
We’re looking for people with a positive, customer-focussed attitude. Whether you’re delivering parcels straight to customers’ doors, ensuring our trailers arrive on time or accurately sorting parcels ready for our drivers to collect – you must be self-motivated and dedicated to providing a great customer service at all times. It’s that customer centric attitude which is the most important thing.
